Pricing Policy

This Pricing Policy explains how SMIO Beauty Equipment Mall (“SMIO,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) determines and displays product prices on smio.shop. This policy is incorporated into and forms an integral part of our Terms of Service.

1. Reference Price Source

To ensure price transparency and consistency across sales channels, the reference prices displayed on smio.shop are derived from our official Alibaba international storefront (Alibaba.com). Specifically, the reference price is calculated as follows:

Reference Price = Alibaba 1-Unit Price × 1.15

where “Alibaba 1-Unit Price” is the single-unit (1-piece) listed price of the same SKU on our Alibaba.com storefront at the time of synchronization.

The 1.15 multiplier covers the additional operational costs of maintaining a separate independent e-commerce site (including hosting, multilingual content management, payment processing reserves, and customer service channels) and provides a buffer for currency fluctuation between synchronization intervals.

2. Price Approval Field

Because the reference price is derived automatically and may not reflect real-time cost changes, custom configurations, or volume discounts, all prices displayed on smio.shop require explicit written approval by SMIO’s sales team before becoming a binding offer. The approval field appears on:

Product detail pages (next to the displayed reference price);
Inquiry forms (when a customer submits an RFQ);
Formal Proforma Invoices issued by SMIO.

An approved price is identified by a unique Quotation Number and a sales representative’s signature (digital or wet ink) on the Proforma Invoice. Prices without such approval are non-binding reference values only.

3. Price Validity Period

Approved quotations are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance.

After the 30-day validity period, prices are subject to re-quotation. SMIO reserves the right to:

Adjust prices in response to raw material cost changes, exchange rate fluctuations, or supply chain disruptions;
Withdraw a quotation at any time before order confirmation;
Decline to extend a quotation’s validity beyond 30 days.

For exceptional cases (e.g., long production lead times, special financing terms), the validity period may be extended up to 90 days. Such extension must be explicitly stated on the Proforma Invoice.

4. Price Applicability by Configuration

Approved prices apply only to the specific product configuration stated on the Proforma Invoice, including:

Model and variant: e.g., handpiece count, tip sizes, software version;
Voltage and plug type: matched to the destination country’s electrical standards;
Language and interface: UI language, user manual language;
Packaging: standard export carton vs. custom branding;
Accessories and consumables: included spare parts, training materials;
Quantity: volume tiers as stated on the quotation.

Any change to the configuration after quotation will trigger a re-quote. The reference price on the Site reflects the default/base configuration; upgrades and customization may incur additional charges.

5. Destination Restrictions

Prices displayed on smio.shop assume shipment to a destination where SMIO is legally permitted to sell and ship the product. The following destination restrictions apply:

Exclusivity markets: Where SMIO has an exclusive distributor in a country/region, direct B2B sales to that market may be restricted or referred to the local distributor;
Embargoed jurisdictions: Sales to countries subject to UN, EU, UK, or US trade sanctions are not supported;
Regulatory restrictions: Some products cannot be shipped to jurisdictions where they lack required regulatory clearance. The customer is responsible for verifying import eligibility;
Remote area surcharge: Deliveries to remote or hard-to-reach destinations may incur additional shipping fees that are not included in the reference price.

6. Currency and Exchange Rates

Reference prices on smio.shop are displayed in USD (United States Dollar) by default. The Site may offer a currency selector for display purposes (showing approximate converted values in EUR, GBP, MYR, RUB, or CNY). These converted values are for customer convenience only and use indicative exchange rates from a third-party FX data provider.

All formal Proforma Invoices are issued in USD. For customers requiring invoicing in another currency (EUR, CNY, etc.), SMIO may accommodate such requests at a fixed exchange rate agreed upon in writing, subject to a 2% currency conversion adjustment.

Customer is responsible for any currency conversion fees charged by their bank or payment provider.

7. Synchronization Frequency

Reference prices are synchronized with our Alibaba storefront on a weekly basis (every Monday, 09:00 UTC+8). Between synchronization cycles, Alibaba prices may be updated independently for promotions or market adjustments. In such cases, the Site’s displayed reference price may temporarily differ from the current Alibaba price. The authoritative price is always the one stated on the formal Proforma Invoice.

8. Taxes, Duties, and Fees

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, reference prices on smio.shop:

Do not include value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or sales tax;
Do not include import duties, customs clearance fees, or destination port charges;
Do not include inland transportation to the final delivery address;
Do not include optional insurance (typically 0.3% of order value).

Applicable Incoterms (e.g., EXW Guangzhou, FOB Guangzhou/Shenzhen, CIF, DAP) will be specified on the Proforma Invoice. The customer is responsible for all import-side taxes and duties unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Price Discrepancy Resolution

If a customer identifies a discrepancy between the reference price displayed on smio.shop and the price on our Alibaba storefront, please notify us at sales@smio.shop. SMIO will investigate and, if applicable, issue a corrected quotation. SMIO reserves the right to decline orders placed at prices resulting from typographical errors, system glitches, or synchronization delays.
